Tambov’s windows frames stuck to hang in novelties. Well then it’s time to show you a mosaic of windows frames in some new city!
And today – just for you, of course city in Moscow region – Naro-Fominsk !
When you read about how in the autumn of 1941 Naro-Fominsk was first bombed and then passed from power between Soviet and Nazi troops, any hope that anything of these significant wooden buildings would survive melts instantly. Usual, traditional hut of Podmoskovie of course survived till now, but the chance that they are pre-war – almost equal to zero. However, wooden architecture and the desire of our people to the beauty is ineradicable, that’s why carved windows frames we can find here have.
What is surprising – the war ended 68 years ago, but in Naro-Fominsk during this time practically was developed its own style quite different from neighboring , also very war torn, Borovsk, Vereya or Maloiaroslavets type of windows frames . Although of course windows frames from Naro-Fominsk is quite obvious symbiosis of windows frames of neighboring Kaluga and Moscow regions.
1.
Analyzing books about wooden architecture, which recently I got into the habit to see them on my desk, I realized what irritated in them: many of them are written on a basis of “twenty pages of text, and then eighty – illustration.”
2.
On the one hand – and it’s clear enough: to convey the main message (in most cases) a lot of words are not necessary. Plenty of beautiful pictures hardly possible to find, especially when we are talking about windows frames, wooden artifacts or other products of folk art.
3.
Here for example, the basic idea is quite simple and straightforward: during the war, almost all died, but what survived, likely a legacy of what once had been. Also during the fires in the 18th or 19th centuries: newly constructed houses were necessarily similar to the old, even if the whole town burned out.
4.
It turns out that the idea is quite short and windows frames images for conveying this idea traditionally we need – thirty two.
To tell the truth, this long-invented format “thirty two windows frames of one city” and quite self-sufficient without the text: windows frames can talk about themselves alone, the researcher should only properly study them.
6.
Therefore, there is nothing left but to leave you alone with windows frames. As if I did not want to accompany each of them by some text – a picture is worth a thousand words.
In view of the above, I can only add that in the book “Solar patterns”, which was released in 1978 , Boris Pimenovich Zaitsev and Peter Petrovich Pinchukov mentioned that in Naro-Fominsk prewar remained three houses – 26 and 27 on The Kolhoznaya street and 2 Proletarian Lane street.
So Proletarian lane was alas renamed (or even once kicked the bucket), but on The Kolhoznaya street there are the new houses.
Of course , the authors hardly walked around the entire city in order to get to know the age of the house specifically looking for the old one, pre-war (though it cannot be excluded) , but alas, the fact remains – what survived to 1978 , also has sunk into oblivion .
At the end – a couple of words about already familiar classification.
