We collect, preserve and study photographs of carved houses, nalichniki, doors and other details of wooden architecture — together with contributors from around the world. It all began in 2007 almost by chance — with a hundred colourful windows in the city of Engels.
The archive now holds 23 263 photos from 1 066 cities and villages, by 468 photographers.
